Experience

Our Family Law practice is led by Shana Nodel J.D as Practice Lead, and Jack Straitman as Counsel.

 

Jack Straitman brings to the table over 35 years of Family Law experience exclusively. He was an instructor at the bar admission course of the Law Society of upper Canada, a mentor in the family law program for legal aid and has been a dispute resolution officer of the Ontario Superior Court since the inception of the programme. He has completed the requisite courses as mediator and arbitrator at Harvard and the University of Guelph. His practice includes litigation mediation and arbitration.

Shana Nodel is a litigator who has vast experience preparing for both trial and arbitration and has appeared on behalf of clients before the Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Small Claims Court. Shana brings to the table extensive experience navigating complex litigation from start to finish for her clients.
